Yep dirty mongrels. Old mate reckons its quite common these days for dpf and cat converter to get cut out.
I'm thinking it would be my work carpark, however, where I park is right next to the school garden where there's kids and 2 teachers pretty well all day and most days the maintenance dude has all his stuff there too, so they must be game little bastards.
Maybe I'll have to drop in to park height just to make it harder .Don't wanna have to pay nearly 3k bills again

Well, just picked her back up, goes like a rocket now.
Old mate showed me the photos of when they first looked at it, the sensors that were unbolted, the condition of the dpf etc, said it was munted .
All up, 2750, that was new dpf, thermostat and coolant I'm assuming.
Mentioned someone had def been in there poking around with it.

Good news mate, the price is nothing when you can just drive the damn thing with out any worries, besides its a prick of a job when you have a few runs on the board....... Mind Pete will be bored to death if he ever gets a new box in his, he will be stopping to check things all the time ..............

I know what you mean mate. It's certainly not a job I'd tackle. They said it was a bitch to get to compared to the later models.

Getting the DPF out is pretty straight forward. Any sensors are the issue due to so many heat cycles they get stuck. If you ever have to attempt it, spend a few days before, every day spraying with Inox or WD40.
