I have a wireless controller, but was looking at an isolator to completely disconnect it so the main power cable was dead until activated.
Battery kill switch will do it. Just check the specs on them and make sure its continuous (not peak) rating is suitable for your winch current draw.

As for remote options, that sounds ok until you loose the remote or remote battery fails or worse it gets stuck on ON. I like to keep it simple and easy

I recommend putting a heavy duty isolator switch on the main power lead for the winch. You can either put it in the engine bay close to the battery (so the risk of short circuit is minimised), or you can put it near the winch itself, so if you ever get stuck in the winch you can turn off the power. This is the one I've used in the past for my other 4wd... https://www.whitworths.com.au/main_i...AbsolutePage=1

I was thinking something like this: 500A continuous, 700A surge:

This is about 400A continuous and I can leave the key in the switch both in the on or off positions. Used to throw it in the glovebox while on the blacktop and fit only when airing down.

Dont bother anymore, just leave it in the switch but in the off position. Good insurance in a front on bingle that my leads are disconnected and cannot be cut or shorted.
Handy as it also saved my leads from being lengthened as the stock supplied leades from my warn didnt reach the rear of the engine bay. Now my short leads from the isolator reach the battery and the stock warn leads do from isolator to winch.
Matt.

I used the one that came with the winch, one of these:

Can buy them from Tigerz11 for $35 with the cable.

Thinking additional interior boot lights, spotlights, rear spotlights, rear worklight and I'm all out of switches. A couple extra wouldn't hurt even if they are a different style but on the same panel to avoid cutting holes in any factory stuff.
There is a little bit of room above the switches, you could prob fit a couple of smaller round ones in the middle of the bracket that attaches it to the pillar:

Brilliant photo, thanks.

Impressive looking wiring. Heat shrink and everything.
