This, regrettably, seems to be the go in Southside Brisbane too. I wave, but rarely get one back. I did get one from a Patriot driver a while ago and was so surprised that I completely failed to return it in time.
Of course, I do drive a stocker, but hey, it doesn't get washed a lot so evidence of venturing beyond the kerb is prominent.
My wife is normally driving ours - not sure if she waves or not - however I do - but very rarely get a wave back... although I noticed I got a lot more with the Congo Cage and soft top on when it was covered in mud - must look less stock
