Maybe I am unrealistically comparing it to my car which has instant throttle response (600kw) through a supercharger but I remember when the Idrive was installed it felt like it had no lag, but like everything in life you get used to it and want more or better..

Never a truer word. Best way to remind yourself of the 'before and after' effect is to turn idrive off after a month or so of consistent use. I reckon it'll soon be back on again!

Just note, These units Do NOT add power, they only change the position of throttle to ecu.

Correct. There shouldn't be any illusion that the kw power output increases, it can't. The unit is designed to eliminate the lag which is an electronic throttle issue delaying the delivery of your power. The revised throttle setting provides your available power instantly, right through the rev range. Since the available power is now being thrown at you immediately, rather than you having to beg for it and wait, the driving experience/sensation is similar to that of increased power (substantially IMO).

S'truth, I wish I was on a commission for this thing, moreover I wish I'd invented it!!

Just put one of these little pieces of magic into my MY17 GC trailhawk, WOW!
I have felt this power before when driving my Trailhawk but only when I’ve hit an elusive sweet spot, now I get that sweet spot when ever I want it.
Totally converted and cannot believe the difference it has made to driving this vehicle, and I’ve only tried the auto mode so far!

i have fitted the idrive to my 2011 laredo with the 3.6l and 5 speed auto
totally transformed the way the car drives, it overcomes all the auto trans issues
like hanging onto higher gears when you really want it to change down

i have run it in the auto mode for a while, but now have it in "U-5" as for me this is the best compromise between fuel economy and being constantly in lower gears.

as for me the auto mode had me driving it like i stole it
