Well as I said, the spot where the hole is appears to have been rubbing for some time and yesterday I pulled the high pressure pump of, and finished the job as in removing that little cir clip from the fuel line portal, and removed the front of the pump and replaced the green o rings. When I attempted to start it after I put it back together, no start, and I got out and there was diesel every where. I got my wife to crank it over while I looked to see where the diesel was leaking, and saw it coming from the pump area. I removed the lines and had a good look, had to twist the line around and spotted a ware mark. On closer inspection I could see that it had actually pushed through. Maybe the pressure after doing all the o rings was enough to actually push the split in the hose.

What I did notice is it only took a short crank to get the fuel lines full and up to the high pressure pump.

I might add, that when I completed the pump job, I also removed the filter and found that that damn water sensor was not in properly, so I disconnected the sensor, removed the filter, and made certain that it was in properly, so that was another grey area.

Put it all back together, filled the filter, and the rest is history.

I have ordered a full set of lines from England $300.00 delivered, but not expecting to receive them before the 10th, so I will go out today and see if I can make a temporary line just to see if it starts.
What an event.

To my knowledge I haven't read about failed pressure sensors on this particular application.
I've had a reg become problematic, however it seems to be pretty uncommon to have the pressure sender fail.

Good to hear it's running again, fuel pressure is a wonderful thing.

Hi all,
Well, it is not going as yet. It has been raining hear so I can't do much at the moment. My son says he would back a cam position sender but I will have to see what happens when I fix this fuel line.

Just of hand, what are those white clips suppose to do? The ones on the fitting that seem to break easy. They appear to just clip onto the fitting I can't see any purpose. Anyway, if this turns out to be the problem, big barbie at mine,

Have to admit though, the amount of diesel that was coming out seems to me to be a lot more than what would squirt out of the line, when I looked under the car it was literally pouring down over the front diff. Where else should I check.

If you're talking about the white clips on the LP fuel lines, they spread the claws that grip the flange so you can get it off.

And so the hose stays on the flange too.
