Agreed! Problem is I cracked this one with the crow bad trying to get it out..m Will do the delete once the new one is installed. I figured they would have deactivated it when i got it remapped but that doesn't seem to be the case.

Alright installed the new injector, it's looking much better.

I also installed the new EGR which is still throwing the fault code P0403 EGR solenoid circuit. Seems strange. Before I disable the valve I'd like to adress this problem. (I tested the valve with the compressor before installing)

Easy to test the EGR solenoid is to swap it with the turbo solenoid. They are the same. If the error follows the solenoid, then it is at fault. If the error stays with the EGR, then it's a wiring issue.

Thanks Jeanluke, I'm embarrassed to say that I simply forgot to attach the vacuum line.

For those following along, injector number 4 is installed and I'm happy to say the jeep has never run this good.

However, I can still hear a more pronounced ticking from injector number 4. #4 seems to be overfueling at around +1.2 especially when cold, but sometimes when warm.

Any idea what could be causing this?

If I didn't pay attention to the ticking of the injector or the wjdiag app, I would say the engine is brand new based on thr way its running.

Thanks again to all!

I don't think 1-point-something is a problem. From memory, get worried at 3-ish. For peace of mind perhaps double-check the encoding is right. Otherwise, enjoy!

Thanks jeanluke. I'm still a bit concerned about the more pronounced injector noise coming from #4 but otherwise it drives great.

I'll report back in a couple days.

Update for those following along

I decided to pull the 4th injector as the noise was bothering me. I noticed the metal fuel line going to the injector was slightly under tension (as in didn't thread off smoothly). I decided to replace the copper o ring on the injector which was part of a bulk set I ordered with the one that was provided with the injector.

Started the car and the noise is gone. Also seems to be running better.

For those of you with left hand drive cars doing this job I have also posted a picture of how I temporarily bolted the windshield washer support bracket back to the firewall.

All that's left is going for a drive.
