And I checked the injectors. I could only see 1 - 4, but they were all #2. PN A612 070 00 87 which is a Merc number I think.

My XJ had a heater core leak 5 or more years ago. I could smell the sweet smell in the car.
I put this stuff in https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/...E&gclsrc=aw.ds

And never looked back. Fixed the weep/pin hole and never affected anything else.
Worth a try at least.
Its not like that old crap that bungs everything up. These are like tiny gold flakes that keep your coolant clean, but get into cracks, pin holes and weeps.

Anyway, saved me pulling my dash apart.

cheers,

Thanks for the info. I will keep it in mind. I might do some research on it see how it works, but could be the go if I have a leak.

Wired up he light bar on the front today. Found it partially connected, but wasn't working. All good now and one more job ticked off the list.

Spring isolators tomorrow.

Edit: Been looking at reviews of the stop leak stuff. Seems good. Will give that a go for sure if the core is stuffed.

The old isolators had melted somehow.... Easy enough job though.

Heat, age, who knows why, but it's relatively common. Replacing them gains you 10-20mm ground clearance, too.

Does anyone know what these 3 brackets are for? They are on each side of the car. I'm thinking of removing them as they just hang down and seemingly do nothing.

They look aftermarket but what for as the car has sliders. Maybe it once had side steps?
