Very interesting and timely given I am on a similar (& simpler) project. I'm going for spacers and cut the trim rather than the sheet metal. Is the accustic insulation your using to keep your music in or keep external noise out?

it's there to do both Dazza. haven't had a chance to drive it around since i put the deadening on, but while idling it's a bit quieter. i still have to do the rear quarter panels and the floor under the cargo area. i don't know if i'm going to do the roof since it's too much of a hassle.
up do this date, i've spent $200US on deadening and fitted it myself
it's the most expensive part

Head unit : Alpine 9813. bought it used, locally. it can do a 3-way crossover (subwoofer + midbass + tweeter) and time alignment.
Amplifiers : Kicker kx400.1 (subwoofer amp, ~450wrms @ 2 ohms), Eclipse EA4000(front stage amp, 4*75wrms @ 4 ohms)
Front stage speakers : 2 Mach 5 MLI 6.5 midbasses , 2 Seas silk dome tweeters , subwoofer : TC sounds 12inch flatcone, 300wrms (that's conservative, i've dumped 500 on it and took it like a champ).
i will only be using the fronts, the rears will stay in place, but will be disconnected.
EDIT : i suck at write-ups

i'm curious as to why you're still running the 6x9's since you have rears and subs.
other than that, seems like a nice system
remember, it's 5% product, 90% labour and 5% beer
head unit is finally in

i'm waiting for some aluminum rings from the shop to be able to mount the 6.5's and start tuning
