Geez, I had to check my driveway to make sure mine still there after seeing those photos and vid emja!!

Mine is seriously identical, even has 210,000 km's on the clock too

Awesome photos of the WJ and at a great place too. I head down to Paddy's and Anglesea on my dirt bike quite often and it's a great place to ride. Still haven't had the balls to dirty my WJ there yet, however thinking about it this weekend.

See you around the forest, keep up the good work!

Get the combination rock-slider/side-steps that way you wont wreck em offroad & they protect your sills.
Avail from www.kevinsoffroad.com or wooders could probably get em in for you.

If I had known you wanted some, I could've given you mine before I bent them...

But as the others said, the factory ones aren't very strong. So if you plan on going offroad its just a matter of time before they get damaged, so you're better off getting yourself a set of rock sliders. Some rock slider designs will incorporate a step as well.

If you don't plan on going hardcore offroad but want the step feature, then normal steps pop up every now and then on eBay, or you could try a place like Parkside Towbars which make steps for various vehicles, or obviously go to the dealer (but at the price they're likely to charge you're better off getting sliders).
