Good video, and good spotting by you,

I have a throttle body as a spare part

this on of issue is commonplace on 50 yr old Jaguars, but they have a special teflon bushing that needs expert attention

At least 50% of the many SU carbs I have suffer this wear, which allows vacuum leaks and poor idle

I wonder if such a simple solution could be applied to them, as an SU carb re-bush costs a lot

Another good cheap fix, well done.

Who would of believed it was a worn throttle body.
What size orings do you think they are in metric size Mark? I may have to keep an eye on mine.

Cheers,

The 99 is in for a treat I am finally going to fix the passenger window I have never known this window to work in the 10 years I have known of this XJ
I have always known what the issue is and as the window was wired up and the bloody thing had more important issues Last on the list .
A couple of weeks ago I bought the part to fix the broken plastic worm drive thingy After all these years I couldn't of picked a worse time with the exchange rate $$ I should of got years ago and just put it in a draw and more than likely loose it.
Enough of real Jeeps I finally got around to getting started on the interior of the 96 replica I have transferred from cardboard to my plastic prototype I am using Thermo Plastic I just heat it up with a heat gun and bend away. I can think of a few uses for it.
