Got my first taste of working on my new Jeep GC today.

First was the water pump. From reading the manual figured this would be an easy job, hour tops, didn't factor in removing the alternator lol. Took me half an hour to get it back in, couldn't get the big bolt lined up.

Also changed the left front CV boot. Still have to do the right hand side.

And modified and tightened the fittings on the radiator for the transmission oil lines. These were both leaking. Prick of a job but we think they are now sealed.

Thankfully had the old man helping out. Other than the dodgy radiator trans oil fittings, wasn't too bad to work on. Was a bit annoying all the odd size bolts though. Had to go buy an 18mm spanner

but a drive around the block and one large "clunk" later and all good .
nothing like squirting that pedal on the v8 , I have missed it greatly.

Only picked mine up just over a week ago, an 02 Limited V8.
Swapped out the crackly day speakers for some Jaycar 3" drivers, sanded and polished the trashed headlights and yesterday had the massive muffler chopped off and replaced with straight pipe, not loud which is great but sounds fantastic.
