Finished welding the main roof rack section (for the roof top tent) may add some light mounts and hooks etc for tiedowns but now just need to add the gutter mounts.

And propped on the Jeep, it'll be about 2cm higher than this. Nice and low and will take my weight walking on it without any deflection

Cheers
Steve

Installed my new GME Tx3220 UHF and antenna today. Antenna is mounted using a firestik door jamb kit above the rear taillight assembly.

Really happy with the looks just gotta get it tuned now, anyone know a place in Melb with an SWR meter. Will get some pics up in the near future.

Oh an really seriously considering importing one of those JCR Pre-Runner bars like shai did.... damn it looks nice...

EDIT: Oh and shai, those look like u-bolts on the bumper not bowshackles - make sure they are recovery rated before using them!

Good eye Hamsteh ..Those are indeed u bolts not bowshackles. While installing the bull bar I discovered that the car had a factory installed recovery point mounted on to the unibody..So I didnt use the frame mounts and dont intend to use the bar for recovery.Btw have 2 of the unibody tie ins with some grade 8 mounting hardware

http://www.jcroffroad.com/xjuniframe.html

If anyone orders the JCR buy the unibody tie ins off me and itll save you some money as I dont need them now .These bars are bloody awesome..Clearance is almost like nothing is on the car but boy can they play with rocks ..Love em

went for a wheel over the weekend and put my 35's on the xj

it loved them, tempted to keep them on except the xj is the wife's daily driver, so they went back on my tj.
