Interesting piece of fabrication CJ6np345 - got to learn to weld one day.

Pulled the gearbox out of the 7 to try and find why new clutch not working . . . .won't disengage to allow gear selection with motor running. . . . thought spindle may be jamming in pilot bearing, all good there, maybe in a haze I put clutch plate in back to front, nope that was ok too - before pulling out made sure it wasn't a bleed issue, nope all goof there as well - fork adjustment seems ok

New pressure plate, clutch plate, master cylinder, slave cylinder . . . . gotta be one of them Jeep things. . . . . .

Started, rebuilding my back brakes, 11" drums, new drums, shoes, and springs etc, got one side done, and then noticed the wheel cylinder was weeping, had both wheel cylinders, re sleeved, in stainless, and reduced from 7/8" to 3/4" bore, just can't remember how far back..... Anyway, they need doing again

Got it all sorted yesterday - don't really know what the problem was but it now works.
first time had engine out for other reasons so decided to replace clutch at that point, engine back in and no working clutch.
This time pulled gear box out and removed and refitted clutch assembly, now works. Must have been a bit of mis-alignment first time around. 2nd time used a spline alignment tool instead of one of them mutli-fit cheaper tools.
