Hi thanks mate, but all good I managed to get the little part off an old XD falcon. It fitted just like the original and took me less than five minutes at the wreckers.
I had just enough adjustment available to make the handbrake work and also have about 5-10mm left so it is ok for the next adjustment. I need new linings in about 20k so I will get the cables shortend a bit more then.

Well at least now I worked out the easy and simple way to get the shoe retainers off and back on in about 2mins, with little effort. Who said you use pliers, well that was how I was taught but not anymore. All you need is an extension bar and a socket and a little patience.

Fitted lifted front spings this arvo.

Got 20" from guard lip to centre of wheel.19" on the rear.How's that sound.Might give the rears a reset later on down the track.

fitted some modified rough country swaybar disconnects, finally.

replaced the front brake pads & rear bump stops, fixed a leaky transmission cooler hose and finally figured out why the handbrake wasn't working properly.
The park break lever inside the right hand drum wasn't installed properly, time to find a new mechanic me thinks
