why not?

are you all being up front with your mods? i.e. if over 2" lift or 50mm over diameter on your tyres they wont cover even if its engineered.

you maybe getting and paying for insurance, but do you have cover really?
I called my insurer and was open and honest with them, told them of my mods and they wouldn't cover me anymore, Allianz it was. Im glad i knew then because i would have been paying for years for nothing, they would have declined any claims.
that was the old 07 JK, was insured for first 12months from new until i modded it, then canceled by insurer.
the new 2014 jk insurance never entered my mind, it wont ever be insured as the future mods i have planned will not get cover.

bloody insurance companies, dont forget they are a company and need to make profits, they'll take ya money, but do anything they can to get out of honouring a contract, any excuse will do.

this year $803.86 for the year insured for $29,965

over $8000 difference in one year?
I will be giving RAC a ring tomorrow and prob doing little hunting for best insurer out there, just curious if this is a normal drop in insurance price to expect in Jeep Wrangler.
Most insurers do this....I suggest a little on line research on retail prices, then call them up and have a go.

My insurance company agreed valued my 2014 JKU Rubicon with ALL my mods. Including my 3.5" lift which is engineered. It's listed on my policy in ink They told me that when the renewal comes through to ring them because the computer will automatically calculate my agreed value a lot less! They said to ring and they will fix it

I have read many many posts about how insurance claims will be knocked back on 4wds with lifts, tyres etc on numerous forums. There must be thousands of post with people always telling others their insurance will not cover them as they have a 50mm lift and their tyres are too big and so on.

Well, i want to know who has actually had insurance knocked back for these reasons?? Have the guys who make these statements actually had a claim denied? Try to find examples on forums where people have actually been knocked back! Its hard.

Yes, if you run up the ass of a merc/run somebody over, have a huge lift and 37" tyres, and a beat up old 4wd, your chances are not great of getting covered. But, a JK with 3" lift and 34" tyres, i wouldnt be to worried myself. Thats the lift and tyre size i plan to use once my JK turns up anyhow.

So have any guys had a claim knocked back and if so what size lift, tyres did you have?

That's what I'm basically running. 3.5" AEV suspension system and 34" tyres. Suspension engineered.
