Default Lights

I am now looking to upgrade my lights. With either of these lights can you run 55/100, or are you restricted by the wiring loom. i have seen on the US sites that many are replacing their wiring loom as well, something to do with the low voltage.
I am also considering some HID upgrades for my IPF 900 spotties? Anyone done this?

If your going to 100 watt globes make sure the lights you upgrade to have glass lenses as the acrylic lenses will discolour & turn brown with the heat, the wiring loom should Bo ok running the 100 watt globes but I wouldn't put anything bigger in without an upgrade

I tried 75/100's in my Forester. Whilst they were brighter, they only lasted about 3 months tops each time, I guess mostly to being cheaper brands (I dont believe many if an of the major manufacturers make them?). They also go so hot they melted the plastic wiring plug.

But as Yeti said, must have glass lenses.

First off... those things look f*&ckin' awesome... please post a pic with them on the Jeep...

However... According to google...

600 British pounds = 922.418879 Australian dollars

+ Postage from the UK i assume

I JUST HAD ANOTHER LOOK... IS THAT PER LIGHT???

"Best value for money..." Are you serious?

I paid $170 for the britax units and $200 for the 55w HID's.
I picked them both up locally...

For $370.00 i have enough light to not bother with mounting spotties (Although a LED lightbar would be awesome for offroad but i dont do enough night 4wding to worry)

I could burn a tree down with a thousand bucks worth of HID's...
Even with the difference i could probably get the LED bar i was looking at...

I fitted a set of Narva plus 100 bulbs a week ago. They make a MASSIVE difference to the light output.

I turned the lights on after fitting the first one to make sure it was AOK and the difference between the lights was amazing. The plus 100 looked bright white and the original looked dull yellow. (should have taken a photo!)
