So i have taken the TJ for a spin with the new axles and 4.88s installed. Wow! Its like night and day! Much more torque and I can actually use 5th gear now!! Just need to run in the gears so i can get it offroad and test out the lockers!!

Also might need to adjust my caster angle as it looks like i might have a bit too much, should I do this myself or get a alignment shop to do it? Its driving perfectly straight, no vibes etc. just a little more hesitant on returning to center now...?

not returning to centre you need more positve caster, so adjust to move top ball joint to the rear of the car

Oh really? Hmm it seems like I have too much positive caster already just by looking at. Tilting it back any further would put the pinion out of line, small issues from going to a HP30 Maybe. It slowly returns to center, maybe im just trying to be too picky.

Still havent had any problems with steering etc with the front end so im not going to go stuffing around with it.
I have a vibration from 100km on that feels like drive shaft. Its more like a hum and i can feel it up through my foot and on the gearstick. It might have always been there as the driveshaft hasnt spun that fast before now that im all regeared. Besides that i dunno what it would be, its nothing thats major anyways.

Fixed my rear axle seal yesterday with a replacemnt kit. Looks like I might have over filled the rear axle a bit, i read that it took 2.5quarts but then another place was saying only 2quarts, i had blown some oil out the breather also. It was time to change the oil anyway after running in the new gears, the run in pattern looks spot on! And next to no metal filings on the diff plug magnet so im pretty happy there. I refilled it with 2quarts (1.89 liters or whatever it was) and we will see how it goes!

On another note, my poison spyder hood louver arrived the other day from sbr offroad, so that might be this weekends job!!!
