Red face

Have to ask, do you have a pintle hook on your jeep? Or is it just sitting on your tow ball with chain hopefully holding it in place?

Glad it made it to you safely.
Think you will be swapping the axle under the springs to fit those tyres!
What is the backspacing on the wheels you are going to use as that could already widen the track for you?

Yup, even with 4" backspacing it's a little narrow. I'll figure something out.

I will be putting the axle under for the extra lift.

Also getting some parts from Marathon Spares, Neil.

Cheers

When you pull the wheels off, don't forget the lefthand threaded nuts on the left side.

OK, not quite sure which way to go with regards to towing the trailer.

My options are:

1. Pintle hook or a dual ball and hook combo hitches.
Keeps the original lunette ring on the trailer. Banging and clanging maybe? Cracks and metal fatigue? Looks good, tough and harder for the trailer to get stolen as the ring is not common.

2. Treg Hitch
Some difficulty about trying to hitch a Treg. Articulation range of about 28 degs. Treg block degrades over time and can split. Losing the pin? Lunette ring delete.

3.McHitch Hitch?
Over 109 degrees articulation in every direction. The uni does not wear.(apparently)
Has drop on conversion and automatic coupler, easy to hitch and link up. Also lunette ring delete.

This will be an offroad trailer, so needs good articulation and durability.

Any thoughts?
