I have made further mods to the roof tray so now they are evenly aligned on both sides.

Just returned a 2500km trip down south, with some offroading and a fully loaded roof, ~110kg(ex rack).

The roof rack modifications held up fine, solid. With all that weight, I was also able to stand on top of it all, adding +75kg to it while tieing down the cargo.

Whilst driving, and head wind, I wind down the window and held onto to the roof rack tray, was all solid...

Being the first trip since the mods, I did bring all my tools, M6 bolts, spare rivnuts, rivnut tools etc.

Looks great and I too have this setup however I sprung for the very cool but totally overpriced stainless steel slide in table option.

It looks like the setup sits lower to the centre of the roof, would you mind taking a quick measurement for me and I can compare to my car with table fitted to see if it will clear the roof.

I will need to allow for a little flex in the stainless table skin too I guess

Just got back from a trip and just seen your comment.

Attached photo is the lowest point. Very low! But I like it.
