Sorry to Hijack the thread ......
I will quietly go back to the XJ section
Rant justified. You expose real life examples of the context many of us have expressed in broader terms.

I don't think the thread has necessarily been hijcked either, discussions on the topic of new models will inevitably and increasingly involve views about EV. Any concerns we have around EV should be allowed exposure in at least equal quantity as any advocacy for it. That's called balance. How many of us are sick to the back teeth of the woke and the pollies always assuming such righteousness?

I heard a rumour that a new model is being explored - the electric diesel. Apparently a small diesel generator in the rear of the wagon will power up and recharge the electric batteries. Win / Win for everybody !

So who is planning on buying the 2022 JGC? I know I’m tempted. Mine is 6 years old and now I’m towing more, I need something with a bit more grunt than our pentastar.

Do I wait for good runout deals or go for the new model with all it’s new tech and goodliness?

Decisions. Decisions.

As soon as the 2 row hybrid is announced I'll be putting my money down. Unfortunately I think it will be well in to next year.

I was sitting by the Cooper the other day, nearest power pole connected to grid a couple of hundred Kms away thinking be a bugger if your batteries needed a top up...

I'm still on the fence too, can't decide whether to grab a SRT as they run out the current model. Or sit on the fence and keep praying for a for the hemi option to return on the new model overland.

Hemi overland would be awesome. I’d be sold.
