The low life couldn't give a stuff about the extra damage as they cut the DPF out, couple of road spikes underneath would slow them down....

Dumped a bittle of snake oil in the tank before the round trip to Melbourne....3500klm in total....have another 1000klm round trip this weekend so dumped another bottle of snake oil into the tank for that trip....will buy a bottle of Fuel Doctor from my fav. Auto outlet, along with all the filters n oils for a full service, and add that to the tank for the return trip....then its dirty hands n a few swear words...always are....just the way of the World when servicing anything....reasoning behind doing the service after the trip is to get all the 'gunk' into the old oil n filters then put fresh stuff in....hoping the full service and Fuel Doctor are enough to keep it all kosha until the 'salt mines' call again and I'm off on a journey...still soooo many jobs to do....still have shyte hi-beams with a Light Bar sitting in the back waiting to fitted....no lift kit....shyte tranny....original Turbo muffler (waiting for that one to shyte itself !)....and a thermostat thats running way to cool when not under load....may refit the engine cover as no 'valley of death' on my old bus, and see if that lifts the temp a bit....get a new one when the coolant flush n replace gets done...yep....lots n lots of jobs n bugger all time to get any of em done....ahhh...the poor man's curse.....oops forgot the bash plates.....think I'll buy ruffies V8 n park this one up until I get the jobs done....surely it'll be holiday time by then ????

Old mate reckons its a bad idea to add the snake oil for the dpf clean. Causes more problems apparently.
Mines been running great, stinks on the morning run to work though and have noticed clouds of smoke when I give it a bootful, must be cleaning all the crap out the rest of the exhaust.
Will get a decent run today, got the day off and have a specialist appointment down south so will give it a burn on the motorway.
Def runs hotter now with the new thermostat, sits a bees dick under half ,whereas before, it was a tick over the C

Bugger....have been dosing it with dpf cleaner since purchase....roughly every 5k....hmmmm....
Side note: the ONLY similarities between these new fangled tech marvels and the old Super Petrol chewers is....they both run awesome after a long 'rapid' run....still cleans all the 'gunk' out...smoother idling, definitely 'more' under the foot when accelerating, quiter engine 'noises'...just like the old bangers...end similaraties

Just over C!! That's wildly cold - just under half seems to be where these all sit happily

Mine just gets good runs and nowadays a pinch of Fuel Doctor each refuel just for added lube for the HP pump, just in case, though I doubt we will see that problem over here unless someone tries to do lots of dry cranking to prime after filter changes or runs out of fuel.
