My shiny KJ is stock too, if I make it I will be taking it very easy. I'm keen for camping overnight, so that puts me in the Saturday group...but will confirm before Saturday. Thanks for organising this!

hehe...

I'm not worried about the "stockness" of the Grand up at Newnes.... until I try to go over or through something that I wouldn't hesitate over in the old Patrol... and forget I'm not in the Patrol any more

I'm in agreeance with Red Rat - we've all done Newnes to death along the established trails at one time or other. We could always head out on Sunday to Meadow Flat (near Capertee) to do something different. I know of a couple of pretty nice shaley hills that you really need to scrabble up. My stock Grand just made it before (actually without too much lost rubber) but the other guys who were in KJ's decided to go around. I think that they were just on the border of a "go" decision but took the sensible route - around.

See you all at Glenbrook 10:00am (Staurday people) and at Zig Zag on Sunday 10:00am (Sunday people). I just can't wait to go driving to a Sunday 10:00 meeting with a camp pack-up and hangover to contend with

Cheers
Chris

I decided on the way home last night we'd definatley be taking the KJ (even though there'll be lots of tire rubbing, no time to fit lift before weekend).

I may even meet you guy's at Lithgow as I'll be coming in over Bells Line and don't see any point in back tracking.

Hey Carly, if you guy's do make it up could you bring me the CD from JAD that you where going to send me. That or email the pics/vids to me at jeepn@ihug.com.au

Chris, PM me your mobile so I can call and co-ordinate a meeting point in lithgow.

No worries Brad, will bring CD, sorry forgot (again). Hey did you get a lift kit for the KJ? Where/when/how much etc. and does it affect the warranty? We'll talk on the weekend - looks like we'll make it as the Kaos weekend is not happening.

Sounds good, will be good to see you guy's again.

Got a special price on a spacer lift. It'll only give me around 40 - 50mm but it's a temp fix while I save up the $$$ for what I'd like to do to it. That'll be later in the year, sooner if I decide to part with the CJ.

I'm sure it will have some effect on the warranty to some point but you gotta bite the bullet at some stage.

Will talk more on the weekend.
