You are game giving the heater core a flush. I did mine and now I am starting to have the apparent common problem, of a leaking heater core ....

Hopefully you will get lucky.

Ah I'm flushing my cooling and heater core in the next week or so after exams are over... a leaking heater core would be much less than ideal...

Yes I am dreading the day when I actually have to start the job. The write up on how to do it is like 14 pages or more. So I am guessing about 15-18hrs. Even then I still need to find a moble aircond mech to come and drain the aircond system & reseal the joins and re gas it. Damn Jeeps making an all in one heating a cooling system.

******** that doesn't sound good at all! I was checking for leaks constantly and couldn't find anything like that, I might get off the hook as I have a gas system that is in the heating loop so the water can essentially bypass the core if it gets too restricted.

Today I finished off the base frame for the modular storage unit for the rear so that is now mounted, ran the wiring for the compressor, just need to get a suitable relay and a switch for the dash so that can be finished off.
Then I cut up the swing arm I am building for my rear tyre carrier and then reassembled it in a more suitable size to work more appropriately.....

The days left to go till Tassie are evaporating and the list is still quite long!!!!!

Back to work tomorrow for a rest

Hey Juice are you mounting the compressor in the boot as a permanent thing. I would be interested in a few picks as I plan to do that and also install an under floor tank, with a reg and cut off switch, with an outlet and ryco fitting just under the rear bumper. Just not 100% sure how it will all come together. I am going to ask a couple of electronics gurus on how I can make it work. I am hoping to wreck an old direct drive jobby from Cashys and somehow see if the 240v cut off switch can be modded to take 12v.

I took the jeep out west for the week and all went well untill 250 klm from home. The Uni in the front diff drivers side went bang.
I did drive it home with a lot of throttle control and part time FWD so as to keep wheel and uni in sync, turning left got a bit noisy. I was surprised to get the 250 klm home.
Note to self , when you think there is a vibration, even the slightest vibration you should find the culprit.
All good now.
