Looks like nothing has changed parts wise with FCA here in Aus - they don't have a clue!
Looking at my available spares here at home the part# for the tone wheel with crank trigger switch is:
2 066 2134 F - Magnetised trigger wheel
68027485AA

Thats what I have, nil stock in the US it seems but about $40aud over there certainly cheaper than near $270aud from UK, then how much for someone to do the job, certainly be a lot of labour..............

Definitely not a storm in a teacup.
I may be the person responsible for all this current reporting of the issue.
I have a 2015 Grand Cherokee thats been having issues for a while, even when it was still under warranty. I took it to the garage on multiple occasions but they could never find anything wrong with it and suggested it was dirty fuel that was causing the issue.
Recently my car started shutting down a lot more regularly, once even in front of oncoming traffic.
I dont take my car to an approved jeep service centre anymore as I got sick of them trying to rip me off. I took my car to the garage that services it and they had it for a few days before they told me I should take it the approved garage as there was the z46 recall on it.
They denied knowing anything about the recall and insisted the problem was more likely the low pressure fuel pump and wanted to charge me 2k to investigate it.
After many frustrating conversations with them and Jeep Australia, I got in touch with the dept of transport and asked them why the recall wasn't listed on the official government website. I told them what was happening and the contacted Jeep Australia on my behalf, and then this week they listed the recall.
My car is still in the garage, its unsafe to drive and I refuse to pick it up.

Sorry to hear about your experience - I'd push for Jeep to do some diagnosis if I were you, given the symptoms. Would be really interesting to see whether it is the HPFP, or low pressure as they suggest. As I said, if it's the HPFP, you'd be the first on from Aus that I've seen in my 12yrs on this forum, US forums, and Facebook groups.
Fingers crossed there's a resolution on the horizon.

I too have sympathy for your ongoing issue...sorry to hear that.
It is unlikely to be the CP4 BOSCH Fuel Pump recall/failure that is the source of your problems. When this failure occurs it is catastropic...terminal in other words. The engine wont run then cut out on you, it will sieze...end of engine....metal flakes in a fuel system being injected into a combustion chamber, with very minimal tolerances in particularly a diesel combustion chamber, will end any engines life on the spot...booooom.
Igor, where are you based ?
There are a few very cluey Jeep Specialists around the Country.
Jeeps'r'Us in Coffs Harbour NSW, All Grand Cherokee in Springvale VIC, GDL Auto in Hornsby NSW and a workshop on the lower Sth Coast of Qld 7 Slot.....also get a good wrap...perhaps a call to them with the symptoms and any codes would be of great benefit.
GOOD LUCK

Thanks for your Sympathy, I need it.
Thats not my understanding of it.
I've read "In affected vehicles, a high-pressure fuel pump may accumulate debris, restricting fuel flow and eventually leading to the ending stalling due to fuel starvation."
My car has been stalling infrequently for years. Now it's happening a lot.
Jeep Diagnostics can find no fault but want to investigate it at my expense.
My garage, poly4x4, are a jeep specialist down here in Melbourne. They told me to take it Bach to jeep because of the z46 issue.

Yes...agree...the debris can 'biuld up' causing the fuel flow to stop...however...no parts in the fuel system are designed to handle metal fragments...it would only take a miniscule particle to sieze the engine...there is just NO play/tolerance for a solid particle of any size in the combustion chamber.
Your Mechanics have a good rep and if they're sayin its the CP4 FP failure thats causing the issue, I wont argue...I will agree to disagree.
Should it have been this issue causing the problems for all these years...there would be NO CP4 Pump left and your filters would have been full of metal debris...the car simply wouldnt be running at all...not even 'sometimes'.
I truely wish you the best of luck and hope 'somebody' finds the source of your issues at THEIR expense....Jeep are more than 'stretching the friendship' stating 'We'll find it at your cost'....I'd lose my shit n belt the poor individual that was tasked with pushing that line of bs onto me....sometimes work sux...for that individual...that day would really suck.
There has been a few on here that have taken on the 'TITAN' that is BIG business....from what you posted your journey of epic proportion has just begun....no sarcasm and full sympathy.
GOOD LUCK
