Is the volvo truck a manual? Don't think that'll work in an auto that uses wheel speed for cruise control

You can do it with either box on trucks, increase the revs when you have to idle for awhile, helps stop glazing ( also keeps the A/C good on hot days)

Ouch,
2nd swirl motor in 12,000km 14 months in the WH.
Jeep Dealer who fixed it originally not interested ( not my normal dealer , who are good ).

Jeep Australia not currently interested.
Their response so far:
"
Criteria does need to be met however when requesting this and that includes:
*Full service history within dealership network
*original owner
*The amount of Km's on the vehicle at the time of failure.
Your service manager at the dealership will determine weather you qualify for goodwill.

Why don't you just disconnect it and put the wiring shunt into the circuit to fool the computer to thinking it is still working. Swirl flaps make little discern able difference to either performance or economy. Dig round the Merc forums big issue for them too and they just shut it off.

What was the reason for this one failing? and the first one for that matter, was it the oil leak on to it or something els, have you fitted a Provent filter? i have done almost 30,000k's since mine failed and about 10,000k's later fitted the Provent and so far alls good (touch wood).

I've done it on my WG based on the Merc info as my 2.7 uses the same swirl motor as the ML's. It does appear that MB used the same swirl motor on many variants. Can't recalling if I put the info up in my disabling EGR thread. Have a look back there (sorry on my phone so hard to search). I think the forum I use is the Mercedes owners forum. Try searching that and when I'm back on a PC I'll check my lists.

It's very simple just a couple of resistors in the circuit after you unplug the motor. With the motor still in place it holds the flaps in the open position.
