Gday there Mud,
MAte she's not finished yet. I dont reall want to show it to anyone untill its painted and fitted to a vehicle. Its still in bare steel at the moment as we have to make up a jig for it this weekend.

I also had the lift installed yesterday but was unhappy with the front end so im ordering another set of prototypes for the front - they'll be 2 weeks away then a day to fit. The rear sat up nicely.

Are there any CRD Patriots in Australia?

Stu would you consider doing a front bar for the KJ? I know ARB TJM ECB etc but I don't like them.

greenjk, the Patriot is a monocoque body with McPherson Strut suspension, in other words, a car. The bar is solid mounted the way the factory crash bar mounts (using its holes). There is no way the body could flex, but yes, we'll test it out anyway There will be little thin rubber strips going in between the bar and body/plastic areas too.

Id like to put a square hole either side of the numberplate but we're not tooled up for that (yet )
Yes I no the Patriot is a monocoque body but you will still get a certain amount off body flex and twisting with that design

Not too sure Glen, I may do a Pre Runner Tube Style one as there isnt anything like that on the market that I know of, but i'm not sure if thats up your alley!!

I dont think it would be viable for me to do my own version, but just remember, I basically designed the TJM one!

Gee Glen, you're hard to please! I think both the ARB and the TJM look pretty good - and the ECB is incredibly ugly!

One thing I was thinking was to make an Hoop upper section for the TJM bar, that would give me the potential to make some nice side protection bars that would bolt onto my side sliders.

Would you be interested in that Glen?
