Sunday is under the lid day, where I have a good inspection with torch in hand looking for snail trails and other things, no engine cover so job is easier, got to thinking if I find this sort of leak do I drop it in bay or invite you lot around for a barbie, I'll provide the shed, the tool box, hand cleaner and steaks...........

Check out my Ride(s)
Default Coolant leak

Can anybody tell what size the culprit hose is? It looks like 5/8” (16mm) heater hose, someone would most likely have mentioned previously but difficult to find, I have a thought to use single wire hydraulic hose, need to check sizes and have on hand when I do mine, I will be doing as a preventative measure because I know it won ‘t start leaking while the car is parked in my garage! I will advise the outcome when I do it. Thanks in advance.

Pretty sure its around 3/8" or 10mm.

While I'm here, can this hose been seen with a endoscope or something to check the condition?

Yep, endoscope, just drop it down the driver;’s side of the turbo and fiddle around for a good view. Mind you my scope dia was just on the limit to get through the mechanicals. Have not tried the mirror as you only need to see if coolant or not on the valley floor.

So I’ve owned my 2014 crd Laredo for a whole 2 weeks ( my first ever Jeep) , managed 1300klm before it decided to drop all its coolant via the stupid rubber tube sunder the intake manifold [emoji21]
I can usually fix anything but am having massive dramas removing the bullhorn at the back of the intake! Anyone have any tips ??
