Plastidip might actually be a great idea, especially " since you're not sure".....have been Youtubing some on that stuff. Seems kinda handy for some projects, just a bit on the expensive side with $30/spraycan. If you go that way, don't forget to post some pics. I'd go mat black
I never heard of Plastidip so I checked it out. My question is: Why? The first time you go through the scrub or car wash it will start peeling off.
Get a can of spray paint instead.
But I could be wrong. It probably has it place.

It's a bit tougher than you think. I've had it on my grill now for 12 months and it's only got two stone chips in it and when it starts to look crap I can peel it off and give it a fresh coat without doing any surface prep! My mates also got it on the wheels on his JK and it's been on there for about two years through many trips, pressure wash ect and it still looks new. It's a good looking finish bit like a speciality powder coat and if you get sick of it it peels off.

Yeah, apparently is will last through quite some abuse/pressure washes etc.
To answer the "why": I guess because you can apply it on virtually everything, leave it on as long as you want and when you get tired of it or you want something else, it's completely removable and just peals off.

And no, I'm not in any way associated with this product, haha. Haven't even used it, but if it was cheaper, I probably would.

It comes in clear which I though might be good for making a skin if your heading into bush pinstripe territory and you want to save you paint..... Just a thought.
Autobarn has it on sale quite often.
