I honestly think the uneek tray while great at being slimline is like an arb product. overpriced for what it is . I think they would have been better off going with modular track mounting like the pioneer and frontrunner trays
Cheers, my thinking is that I can put up with a bit of wind noise and the frontrunner seems like a pretty solid rack for the price, especially when compared to the price of the uneek bar and I like the method it uses for mounting - direct to the frame of the car.

I agonised over the road noise of my KO2 tyres and in the end it's either barely noticeable or not nearly as annoying as I imagined. So I will just take a punt on the frontrunner.

i think you can't go past either a rhino pioneer tray or a frontrunner .

Hi, yea I decided on the Frontrunner few months ago and have to say that I am very impressed with the rack to date. Yes there is a bit of wind noise as compared to having nothing up there though would say it is only really noticeable when it is a windy day.
Certainly feel more comfortable putting gear on the roof with this rack and the way it secures to 12 points on the roof as compared to loading all the load onto just 4 points on the roof. That to me would be the main difference between using the Pioneer Tray and fixing it to 2 rails.

true but all i put on the roof is the tent, two queen inflating matress, recovery tracks, shovel, gas bottle and jerry can . Will be getting a custom rear bar done when i have the cash. So while the pioneer only has a 68kg rating i am way under that

i've always wondered if the frontrunner mounting system could be adapted for the pioneer tray

I keep looking for the Backbone system Rhino Rack has for other brands, I think would be a great option with the Pioneer. I have a Pioneer already but agree the mounting is less than I would like especially when I load it up with bikes and kayaks.

Nice pics Jesse270, I'm looking at getting this same roofrack as the company is in Brisbane.
Do you know if there is provision for a side awning to be fitted?

Cheers Cobbly
