B Bandicoot -
Looks like you are getting a great setup for the bush!

I would be interested in hearing how the front parking sensors in the new bullbar are operating, as I will be fitting an ARB bullbar to my GC soon, and I have been told that the sensors wont work in a metal bumper.

Is this true? What is your experience with them.
Crikey.

Parking sensors have been working perfectly.
However, my biggest concern is whether they'll stay attached to the inside of the bar in off-road conditions, or tend to fall off. They've been attached by double-sided tape as the OEM clip can't be made to fit. If I have trouble with this, I'll sikaflex them into place.
However, it certainly not true that there's any problem with being fitted into a metal bar.

It is interesting is'nt it? I have been talking to them to get one for Jammy Jeep and myself and was quoted the $1945 + 50 for skirt +240 for bash plate (270 freight to Canberra). Funnily enough I thought that was a bit expensive seeing as we weren't getting it fitted, so I'll be talking to them again too. They will be making ours and yours at the same time by the sounds of it.

Yes mine is being done this week too. I did speak to them again & they wouldn't budge on price- said they don't charge for fitting as such!

Re snorkel- it would be great but I don't think I could cope with it constantly in my view like that Banidcoot. The JK airbox appears very similar to Commander but has intake on driver's side instead of at front-I have wondered about whether a change of airbox would make it easier to get a custom snorkel out R front side of bonnet /wheel arch. Not sure if that's possible. The JK (ARB) snorkel is due in June I believe.

Default snorkel

don't plan to have the "snorkel" on all the time. It will only take a couple of minutes to fit, and I'll just put it on as required.
However.....if anyone finds a way to get a real snorkel fitted up, I'll definately be a starter

I dunno? I'm interested in getting my Jeep into a real trail-rated vehicle-Aussie-style. Trail-rated in Australia means going across the Simpson and fording rivers up the Cape, carrying a swag of gear, towing a camper or 4WD trailer, carrying water for 5 or 6 days, fuel for 1000 km and going through roo-infested country. Trail-rated in the States means "looks good and can spend the morning on a forestry trail with a squirrel or two on the track". Big difference!
