how much does it heat the engine bay up though cause i live in Brisbane and its gets pretty hot in summer. I just don't wanna put it up the front and then have the problem with cooking the engine and all the other parts in the engine bay.

Anyone got any answers? Ive been looking on ebay and you can pick up many different sizes but i also dont want to go too big as this can be a bad thing too. Im really unsure on mounting in front because of the whole heating issues but im also a little sceptical on putting it underneath the car as then you totally rely on the fan to make sure its cooling down properly. I am contemplating speaking to a transmission expert soon to see if they have any ideas on what to do as I would really like to get it right the first time and not have to do a long list of modifications just to install a simple cooler.

I have noticed that it is getting hot under the hood though even before the cooler so do plan on putting some hood vents in at some stage. If I can find decent looking ones anyway
Photos of my runcool vents are attached to this post.

I chose these because they aren't as lumpy as a scoop or whatever. They also install fairly easily. Angle grinder, high temp paint, rivet gun, and drill was all that was needed.

You can get black, chrome or primed for painting if i remember correctly.

I'm pretty positive these are helping with cooling. I don't have any temp gauges for before and after, but when I'm driving and pull up to the lights I can see the heat rising up out of the vents.

Did you cut the bonnet supports or just the bonnet skin. cause otherwise if you cut the supports it becomes illegal doesn't it?

Yeah, I didn't cut the bonnet supports at all, just the skin. The bonnet supports are a little in the way of the vents. But ultimately the reduced flow area from the supports will not interfere with the airflow through the vents.
