This is boring...... Plenty of other posts covering XJ cooling systems on the forum.

I threw the dog in the back of it and took her to vet. Will be taking my son to Soccer Joeys in it tomorrow.

My point was .... a 180*f thermostat listed in Chryslers XJs part manuals - is obviously ... of the recommended variety.





Thats fair enough ... Its your vehicle ... do what you want with it ...

... but would that be an 82*c thermostat .... or a 70*c thermostat that typically provides a 80*c running temp .... Just as a 90*c thermostat typically provides that 100*c, so-called, "designed", operating temp ??

thanks for that carves for seting our mate straight on the thermostat 80 degrees or 100 degrees still run the same and still boil the same and then there is the fuel usage issue now i have a dead o2 sensor i had it for ages and it makes no diff the fuel usage at all and nor does the lower temp thermostate its just and old wifes tale cheers daz

Drove it from Cairns to Bundy in 2 days. Got 22 mpg Very happy about that.Car didn't miss a beat the entire trip.Ran like a dream even though fully loaded towing a trailer.So happy to be driving it again WOOHOO!!!!!!!!

Started new bar, dam steel joints, pretty sure plate steel is suppose to be flat. I'm not making a pipe, I'm making a bar. Idiots. Anyway, try again this weekend.
