Well over the weekend I drove the Behemoth to the gold coast and back, 1000km round trip. Comp showed avg 16l/100km. Take off 10% for my speedo being out and that's a respectable 14.5l/100km!

That's alright for 33" muddies, big lift, bar, 5 adults, luggage, loaded roofrack. I'll put most of it down to nice smooth roads around the goldie, it jumped up 1l/100km on the goat tracks that pass for highways around bundy.

She did well (sans aircon) and only seems to have suffered a leaky left rear axle seal (or brake cylinder) will know once I pull apart tomorrow.

Shame she's back to pulling my massive box trailer round country roads and giving me 22l/100km which makes me not like her so much sometimes...

I think it's time for a wheel though to scare the pants of my visiting family!

Had the oil sender unit self destruct on me today. Ordered a new one from rockauto, seems like a straight forward fix. Is it ok to drive it still? Gauge shows 0 oil pressure, but it's just the buggered sender, just wanting to make sure the sender only goes to the gauge and isn't going to stuff up the computer or something

Should be ok rosszh, as long as there is no leaking. Mine is plugged with the wrong sender. Purchased the cheapest one I found. Turns out it is for the idiot light. My gauge permanently reads off the dial now.
