Should all be done over the next few weeks!!

Cant wait until its ALL done.

Looking very good mate. Will be interested to see the finished product.

What kind of time frame do think it will take to finish?

as soon as the ship gets here! anything between 6-10 weeks but depends on what is about to leave as well. Oh well - happy to wait a little bit .

Also I forgot to mention... I didn't use the IPF switch and instead got 3x of these all matching with different coloured LEDs and popped them in here - out of the way and they look Ok I reckon. Not that many spots for switches in the 2013 model.

Default What have you done to your JK this week?

I bought my car with a 3 inch lift running the first model aev drop bracket which was for up to 3 inch. Now its sitting at 4.5 inch and had to use adjustable upper arms as the castor was not good. Was getting DW and all sorts of shimmies. Replaced pan hard, DW went. Then shimmies and mild DW. Changed the tie rod to a synergy unit. Shimmy reduced alot more. While swapping out the tie rod, i noticed my rancho damper had a bad fade spot. Changed the damper to a fox 2.0 thing. Awesome feel, reduced the shimmy to nearly nothing there!!! Only thing I've noticed from this damper is that it has added resistance to the steering and does not allow the wheel to return to centre easily, you have to actually steer it back with effort. While i was at it, i changed the front shaft to a double carden to reduce the awesome angle i had coming out of the transfer case.
Yesterday, i bit the bullet and rang Phil from double black off road nsw and bought adjustable bottom arms. He sent them yesterday and were at my door step when i got home this arvo. Wife went out to a work dinner thing so i had some jeep time to myself. Pulled off the aev drop brackets and placed the synergy adjustable bottom arms. Went for a test drive and ALL shimmy gone!!!!

Hey Wally, sounds like you've been having fun!

Just as another possible option, could you not run the adjustable arms and the AEV brackets? That would give you the length adjustability to dial in the caster as you want and the angle of the diff (between the adjustable upper and lowers) but would also reduce the overall angle on the arms (keeping them flatter) to keep the better road manners you get from using the drop brackets. I found when using adjustable arms you really felt the bumps a lot more due to the angle of the arms. Having them angled down like that essentially means the front diff has to travel slightly forward initially as it goes up as the diff moves through it's arc and that forward motion adds a lot of harshness to the handling and steering (and I'd guess will ultimately wear out bushes etc faster). The drop brackets eliminate a lot of that harshness.

Just one more option for you to try!

The problem is, 1, the drop bracket is for a 3 inch lift, so the arms weren't long enuf, or short enuf for correct castor, so thats why i did uppers to correct that, and 2, the brackets are of the older style i think, which are just 2 plates bent into shape without bracing, they only got bolted on with crush tubes and i believe this may have had that tiny bit of movement that i feel has been eliminated with the std mounts being used with the adjustables, also, with the lower adjustable, i placed the bottom at the specified length, 590mm for a 3 to 4.5 inch lift, it places the front axle back to its proper geometric position, i.e., when u raise the car, the wheel base is shortened, so in extending to where it should be, it runs at correct factory specs. Its not my dd so I'm ok with a little rougher ride. I prefer a rougher ride, than the bloody shimmy, and to tell the truth, not noticeably different in ride roughness
