Well Jeeps been sitting there for 9 days, and presto its self healed. It started and ran for 20 min in the garage. Even then drove it around the block. I can't say I would be keen to get in and drive it anywhere yet as the prob isnt tecnically fixed, but seems to be running.....mystery,

Just buy a new battery JB. Mine did the same thing years ago when I still had my TJ(97). One cell in the Battery was fooked. Would crank away fine but not start. When it did now and then I could drive a few hundred metres and it'd die in the ass. Then suddenly run fine again. New battery....never did that shit again

So true, TJ's are bastards on old or bad batteries.

Default Battery

time to get one of those super duper optima's

modern vehicles and motorcycles are more prone to not starting if the battery is a little down.

last week a friend of mine couldn't get his 6 month old Triumph Speed Tripple started.

ended up trucking it to the dealer and it was simply a dodgy battery slightly low on volts, enough to crank it over but not enough to fire it up.
