That all seems OK with a few problems being experienced but I noticed it has just a 4.3" screen. Far too small for these days IMO
Why not get the ones that fit in the standard slot with a 7" screen!
Yes you can get them with a pop up 7" (even 8") screen and all the goodies to go with it.
The only problem I have noticed it it shakes a bit on rough roads.
Check eonon on ebay. They make quality goods and are fairly priced

Just finished installing the same unit as shown in Jillsgym's pics. The phyiscal installation could not have been easier, remove the surround, undo 4 screws, remove and un plug the existing unit, plug the new unit in, slide it in, refit screws and surround, done!

Haven't used it much yet though but initial impressions are quite favourable given it''s origin and price. All functions work and steering wheel controls just worked with no intervention. Have just left the GPS antenna stuck to the top of the unit inside the dash and it is working fine so think I'll leave it there. I think the best bit so far is the bluetooth handsfree phone function. Works a treat.

Just need to source a reversing camera now which will make hooking the boat up soooo much easier.

Positives
Super easy installation
Cheap
Full featured with AM/FM Radio, CD/DVD, iPod input, USB port, external AV in/out, GPS and Bluetooth.

Negatives
Cheap!
iPod input is on the rear so would need to find some way to leave the cable hanging out though with a DVD full of MP3s in it I don't feel the need to connect an iPOD.
Haven't as yet worked out how to get the Jeep logo to display (the user manual makes most Chinglish manuals look like literary masterpieces!)
Backlighting around controls at night is distractingly bright and doesn't dim with the dimmer control.

To change the logo go into the factory menu and type 111111 as the password, then you can pick any of the boot up logos there.

Hi Hills46
We installed the ipod cable into the glove box - I am having trouble hooking up Polaris camera system to the new unit.

The only problem is with the reversing cameras matching them up to the Polaris cameras that I have at present - only to do with type of connections. i have two cameras one on the Jeep and one on the Caravan which are wired through a control box and then to a 7 pin plug. The unit has only one AV in but also an Aux in which may help. I will have a look next week when if I can get an adapter to convert to suit. A couple of pictures - will need to get some plugs to cover up the holes left in the dash where the navus was located
Can you please let us know brand/supplier/price on your unit as its obviously different than the one for the WJ's that the link in this thread relates to. Searching on ebay brings up a myriad of choices so just want to make sure I'm considering one that works as its meant to.

Thanks
