Nick, you can buy my TJ for your partner after you have bought your house. Did u sell your car to someone on here?
If I had my time over again, I would leave it stock.

SJB> Did u find it hard to get into the drivers seat at all? How did you find the blind spots etc?

Hemi> If it had no chrome and bigger rubber, I'd drive it. I wonder if the kiddies would still pull me over asking if i was barbie... hmmm.

Kat - Sounds like you have already made up your mind and are after the opinions of a Jeep forum to validate the decision in your mind? If you want it, like etc. you make the decision, no one else can do that for you. Write up a list of pro's and con's....

And since when did you have long legs , I thought you were short

Cause I know there's a heap of people on here that have bought them or not bought them after a test drive. I want to know why Aussies like or dislike them. Not jump onto an all american hummer website where a lot of them buy them cause they look good and can run little old grannies down. I actually thought and it seems to appear, that there are a lot more mature minded people on ausjeep with valid opinions. That's what I was after.

And I'm short...yep. a touch under 170cm....maybe it was just my massive beer gut i couldnt get under the steering wheel?

Jeepgirl,

i had no problem getting into drivers seat and being 185cm tall found it a very comfortable place to sit, especially compared to my KJ. getting into rear seat was another story though, but since I won't be driving from there who cares?
I liked almost everything about the H3 and it felt solid and well put together compared to new Jeeps but my reservations are -

IFS suspension - since my KJ is IFS not really a big deal and the H3 has more clearance. (I'll be looking at finding a way to disconnect front sway bar)
visibility - no real blind spots with nice big mirrors but rear vision is pretty bad though could be fixed with a rear camera.
5 cylinder petrol doesn't have nearly as much torque as a CRD but 4:1 low range makes up for that i think.

what did / didn't you like?
