Geez Hunty, trouble seems to find you.....or do you find it? What was that bloke thinking driving the Falcon onto the beach?
Good pics mate.
Thanx guyz for the kind words!
The guy who was stuck on the beach had been running a sleep out for disadvantaged kids and was just turning his falcon around with a trailer late the previous night and hadn't realised that the dirt road he was driving on ( that was a little sandy) delivered him onto the beach! D'oh
and yes! I do go looking for trouble! LoL ...... actually a colleague spotted the falcon and suggested that I drive down and see if we could lend a hand.....its always fun meeting new people! LoL.
cheers Hunty
seems a few people are doing this i pulled a commodore off a little beach boat ramp near umina on saturday after he tried to get his boat back in his words were "if only i didnt go that metre or so extra"..

I know it might have been your best option, but even with the light weight of a Falcon, winching off the Tow Ball isn't safe practice.
People have died from doing that.

Maaaaaaate I agree
using the tow ball to snatch of is madness - I use Dyneema Rope! (Low stretch)
If the towball came off I doubt it would slingshot into my Jeep, I think towing a big caravan would put more strain on it than I did - but I take your point, and it did cross my mind as I hooked it up.....
