If we brought the cut forward more there would not be enough head room, due to the back part of the old roof stepping down. And I wanted room for some storage behind the seat for the jack etc. like an extra cab.
along the top of the tray we are putting 50x50 rhs to give the top of the tray strength and a nice edge.

we cut on that line due to the main pillars. It steps out a little. But yes we could have done it thst way

Its kind of just a trial and error job, a lot of things we would do differant if we where to do another chop.
It was basically a free car.

We have some problem we need to sort out with that side window. Working out a rubber that will fit. Or cut as and weld s new edge in.

have finished gutting the inside of the jeep and pulled out all the wiring, nothing left in side now exept the steering column.


getting ready for the new engine,unfortunatly im not putting in the ls1, i am putting a 4.0L with the manual gearbox in it for the time being, untill i can afford the ls1 engine

Don't be too disappointed man, the 4.0 isn't a bad motor...

decided to pull out the engine and gearbox all in one go,
alot easier that way.

ill upload some pics later on, doesnt seem to want to upload??
