I know its off topic, but.....Our G60 went up Cape York in 1973 - clutch slave rubber failed in the Archer River and all the fluid fell out - took 2 days of starting in gear on the key to get to Weipa - and there were quite a few gates in those days. Got the rubber for 32c at the servo and fixed it on the driveway in about 10 minutes.
No electrics under the seat either - crossing the Jardine the water was up to the top of the transmission tunnel inside. Just opened the doors and let it drain out and continued the adventure (with a 44 of fuel roped upright in the back). It was a tough truck.
I think things would be very different with an electronic failure up there with what we drive now.
And at 6 deg here the heated seats were very nice thank you.
