OK, contacted Lucas and they put me onto a rep here in Sydney. He's going on that I won't find 5W-20 anywhere in Sydney, that he's the only supplier. Quoted me $60+GST per 5L and can drop it off, runs around whole Sydney. He did say we could negotiate a better price.

I told him that besides the dealer I found another supplier in Regents Park selling Mobil1 $67 for 6 quarts. Hmmm.

Some of you (not from Sydney) got it for $45 and $56. Now here it's $66 (or $67 for and extra half a litre of Mobil1). Unless anyone else from Sydney wants to buy some, we could possibly get a much better price. The reason is that he said he's giving me a (better) retail price but he has a lot of this oil at home and could do a better price if I buy it directly from him. How much better, that's the question.

I'd get one 5L bottle (of the Lucas) to try, if you're gunna go ahead with it.
I'm also planning to get a bottle of Penrite's 0W-20 "racing" spec to try out too.

But you need 7lt for an oil change!

Never mix oils if that is what you are thinking of.
They can react to each other even turn acidic.

Ok, no probs! That's 4 gallons so far. Anyone else? I wanna ring him back on Thu and squeeze his arm a bit more harder. He reckons he could deliver it on Fri. I still have around 2K k's to do, so not too much in a hurry. How many k's you have left James?

Wicked. I only just put fresh HPR-0 in, so no rush for me either.

Ah, OK, then no real rush, I'll wait till next week in case anyone else wants to get some.

The oil you have in it now, is it 0W-20? If so, how is it going, how's the engine sound and is the MDS working any better or the same?
