Oh really? That's good to know. When I was looking it didn't seem that way, but it's certainly possible I just need to look harder. I might consider giving KO2s a go. I found them a bit slippery in the wet on a Dmax dual cab I used to drive for work, but an AWD GC is a very different machine. Would have to do a careful study of some tyre threads before making a decision.

This is my biggest concern with picking tyres too. Pretty much anything will work on a dry road, but there's not much worse than not being able to trust your tyres when it gets wet.

I'd be giving the Yokohama Geolander X-AT range a look they have only been on the market for about a year here, come in a range of 20" sizes, certainly look the goods and son reckons they are great on his Ranger............ they fit between the brilliant Geolander G015 and the Geolander MT .......

I was going to give those a go but the Bob Jane here in Wagga came down with the lurgy and shut up shop for a week. They had the best deal.

I’m not 100% confident that Tyrepower will get the Wildpeaks in on Tuesday. If no luck I’ll wait out Bob Jane and go the Yoky’s.

I ordered these last night.

https://www.customoffroad.com.au/pro...8c089cd26de1db

Got the transmission sump and sump protector. My ezyoil protrudes about 5mm from the flimsy plastic sump cover. Not happy with that at all. Strange off-road animal, chief etc don’t make the engine sump covers.

Got both these covers for the same price of the transmission cover from Chief. Plus they look a bit lighter.

Let’s see if they are as durable. I’m thinking not so much however I’m looking at light weight.

Last things to get after this is a hidden winch mount that will suit the chief nudge bar and lower front guard and a roof rack system.

For what it's worth, I've been very happy all-round with my Wildpeaks, including in the wet. Much more confidence inspiring than my previous Coopers, and seem to be wearing excellently so far after 20thou. The BFGs seem to be a bit hit and miss depending on who you ask, but have seen many reports of poor wet grip when fitted to GCs as well.
