Foot Pegs - The simple facts are:
  • Foot pegs would be as useless as milk at a pub for most TJ's - becuase most don't have cruise control and without cruise control how the heck are you going to drive with you're foot out the door.....Oh I know - Slowly
  • There is NO WAY you would be allowed to drive on our road with your foot our the door like that - especially unlike the LHD, we need that foot to help control the vehicle.
  • I am 99.9% certain you'l get pinged REAL quick for having foot pegs hanging out whether or not you used 'em......
  • This would only encourage the pederstrain council even more on their anti 4x4 campaign.
  • Lastly - it's a dumb idea to stick you limbs out of ANY moving vehcile......onroad of off.

The only way I could imagine you'd get away with foot pegs attached onraod was if they flipped up like motorbike ones.....but I have no doubt you'd still get stung for using them onroad....

As for the door mounts - as I said great to see people thinking outside the box - however I would not be interested in this product for a few personal reasons:
  • I think the mount are somewhat hideous (just personally),
  • I think the mounts would also possibly be a legal area of concern,
  • I have no interest in hanging my doors like that as I think it compromises both onroad & offroad performance.
  • If I remove my doors - which I do frequently - I make the commitment to do so rain hail or snow......ie I'll happily freeze my nuts off till I get home as that's part of the experience.
  • I have ther mods I'd spend my money on first

Anyhow that's all my 2¼¢ worth.....

everyone is so focused on these bloody footpegs.. we all know they arent allowed in australia..

I think focus needs to be directed to the hot headed comments towards a persons ideas.. critisim is fine.. but its almost at that stage where everyones going to get thier dads to beat the other guys dad up
