No way!

I'll be making it without the assistance of a 40T brakepress.

Last one cost me a $10 sheet of 1/2" ply and a couple of week-ends.This one will be 9mm ply($15) and one week-end.

A lot less weight and simple.

Here's the Mk1.It's over complicated and lacks extra room for bags.Stacking the boxes was a mistake,as it's a PITA getting to the lower ones.Means putting the top one down on the dirt etc.Toolbox is under the esky, buggerb to get a tool out for a quick tighten etc.

It was a 60t by the way, you would be surprised with the weight of sheet metal drawers versus ply drawers plus they are much stronger, it helps to have the access to the machinery too....

Swapped the drums over to the new axle tonight. Put the new wheel bearings in, managed to destroy one of the seals so will have to get a new one tomorrow.

Dropped the rear leaf springs out and pressed in the new bushes. Old bushes totally stuffed, the shackle bushes don't look too bad...I'll dig out my spare set and see which ones look better.

Just finished sorting the aux tank, yes I know at least 24th time I have had the pump & sender assembly out. So many times the little plug on the sender kept sliding off when putting the unit in and it can be a bastard to get it in (dicky plug retainer thing) the locking tab kept flicking up, causing it to slide off. The other issue was getting it to seal at the flange but finally today I was able to by some oring cord and made my own oring. Finally I had the right thickness. Everything is now working as it should; the guage is not stuffing up and the overhead distance to empty guage is actually reading very close. Took ages to work out where to set the float. Tonight I finally sat the pump assembly on the floor, still connected except the orange pump wire and leaned it in near enough to the exact position it would sit in the tank. I then set the float to register 0 or near enough when the fuel reaches the bottom of the pump & strainer.
I am pretty confident now that I have sussed it for the long-term, yay it has been almost a year-long process sorting this aux tank.

Regards A

I reckon I have 2 or 3 minutes to spare around 3am in the morn so a quick fab up may happen.

What was that your signature said again; do it twice and if that doesn't work try third time lucky....

Hey mate I have LPG also, I used a replacement RE brakeline for the rear and just relocated the mounts for the fronts. (Even these only just reach when fully drooped at full-lock)
