The Rubicon gear is goin great! Even the missus likes the ride Hasnt seen enough off road work for me, but hoping to improve that situation over time

Tyres are on the list, but they are just so bloody expensive, especially considering the damn thing now has over 20,000km on it and about 19,500km of that is on black top...

Any suggestions to get the sway bar out of the way? I was considering trimming the body mount bracket but I would imagine that wouldn't be the most legal solution.... The other thing I'm about to order are 0.75" spacers for the front springs (making it a total of about 2.5" lift).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Use a cheap strap (Velcro etc Bunning's) strap it so the sway bar is level with the chassis rail (similar to original position. This way, when you flex and have the wheels turned the upper shaft is within the wheel and will miss the tyre. You only need to do one side (there is no weight being carried) but I do both just to be sure,,,

After a big snow trip (see: http://s999.photobucket.com/albums/a...WInter%202011/ ) decided I needed some more aggresive tyres. Got a set of KM2s (285/70/17) and whilst untried off road yet am very happy with the look and ride so far. Only vibrate slightly at very low speed (10km/hr) on sealed road.

Bit of an update to this, the KM2's have been on for a week and we have only done around 1000k, they are a bit louder than the BFG AT's that we had on for 110,000k but seem to be better in the wet and hold on to the road as good if not better than the AT's on the tar and dirt, haven't had a chance to get off road yet to try them out, maybee on the weekend on some local tracks.
