and before you go on about crap brands a lot of the big name stuff is made in the same joint, china......even the German brands, I don't even look now. They haven't got my bloody oil on special though and I need a restock.
I've been getting my oil from Repco. They are normally cheaper than Supercheap and you get a further discount for RACQ members. They even give the RACQ discount on top of their sale prices when it's on sale. At least the local store does anyway.

Repco is my usual oil shop especially when they have the RACQ 25% off. And being a tight arse I'll be up town, 25kms away to take the $10 credit opportunity.

New springs fitted and it has a pull to the left so get some new rubber and a wheel alighnment, first attempt not good enough so take it back, second attempt runs true but the wheel is off centre a few degrees, going to have to get used to it as I can't be stuffed doing another trip into town.
New springs and tyres is really nice though.

Have you checked for play in your balljoints Drover? Given the mileage on your car now they may be getting a tad worn and may impact tyre life.

Just sitting back with a beer, I couldn't handle the wheel being off centre so with the Jeeperific in the shed I crawled under and adjusted it myself now all good. Of course the first few turns were the wrong bloody way far better when there are two of you, saves up and down all the time.
Gave everything a good twist, turn and prise when I did the springs and all seemed in pretty good nick, I was actually surprised as I thought there would be a bit of play in something, I suppose never, ever turning the wheel when not moving helps. Getting 80,000 odd k's from the rubber so no dramas.

Next time it needs an alighnment I might do it myself, since it's only toe in and thats easy enough, bit of lino under the front wheels, a big slide rule and your good to go, used to do my Landy and G60 years back when the tyre place was 50kms away and never scrubbed tyres.

Gone thru "Everything 2.7" and got rid of some links , mostly parts suppliers that don't work anymore.
