interesting went to super cheap auto today with my old air filter from kj 03 cherokee diesel and ryco filter A1513 off a holden combo van 02-05 fits perfectly for $24 not sure about the petrol models if they have the same air box but the combo van one fits perfectly as i went every where but no one had it so i thought stuff it and started going through the boxes to find one to fit! not sure how much a genuine one cost but i thought $24 sounds good.
Genuine air filter was only $19 full retail. Non genuine is not always better/cheaper. Genuine oil filter $13.
Well the genuine air filter at Wangara Jeep cost $35 a week ago. It only cost $27 last year at the same place. I don't like Chryslers pricing, they get too greedy rather than encourage future purchases. My two cents worth anyway.

BTW I have received my timing belt kit from UK and it will save me over $350 va OZ pricing and it included the gasket and pulleys!!! Got to love OZ pricing!!

Thanx Snail, I too had decided that's the fix on the next change. Just needed a filter that afternoon.
I don't like dealing with my Jeep dealer parts department either, but the KJ air filter is a pretty good one and not very expensive IMHO. I try to buy them in bulk at places like Jambo or Camp Coffs where there are usually really good prices of offer.
