The roof comes off with ease. I also have a spider web shade fitted and works with that too.
I've never had a roof leak near where it's mounted so not really worried.
I'm sure it would handle a little moisture if you did get stuck with the roof off.
Can also buy the switch panels by themselves if you did kill it and just reconnect it to the spod distribution unit.

Yes, but that is the panel, wiring harness, switches, and the relays & fuses in sealed box.

As i am shocking at wiring stuff up & usually either screw it up or end up with a massive birds nest under my bonnet i opted for the sPod.

If i factored in a trip to the Auto Elec every time i added a mod plus the cost of the switch panel etc i would chew up the $500 pretty quick.

With the sPod i installed it myself and have the technical know how to connect a black & red wire to the box just ...

I only have 2 switches, I put them on the panel above the speaker. Easy access to wire up and operate.

Exactly.. you are their target market and it works out well for you, but for people that can wire and fab switch panels, fuse/relay boxes etc, it's a total rip off IMO..

5 relays in a sealed box with a wiring loom and nice switches would be no more than $100-$150 depending on what switches you bought.. but you are paying for convenience with this and people put value on that..
