Just another expensive upgrade with little change I would assume.

I would just prefer an easy way to get android auto, or phone casting, to the head unit.

It would be so much easier, just to use third party navigation like 'Here we go' or Waze, than the useless clunky Jeep crap.

May as well just make up a holder, for an 8" tablet with a built in GPS, and sit it in front of the useless Jeep Connect head unit IMO.

Keep the Jeep connect for phone calls and music, that's all it's good for IMO.

Just like my old all singing all dancing truck set up, fancy Navigator system was rubbish, we ended up just planting a Navman on the dash, far easier than stuffing around, unit did make a good handfree/radio system though............
The old Laredo just makes life easier and can't see a need for most of the bits on the higher end models. That goes for most brands not just Jeeps.

must a way of using a third party map supplier and uploading it into the 8.4 unit?
The andoid units can be done easily via usb stick.
If somone works it out they would make a fortune given all the out of date jeep
nav systems out there.
I spoke to a jeep dealer here some weeks back and they seemed certain an upgrade was coming in
january.
Another dealer said they had a done a few of the map upgrades but a couple of the upgrades had fried the head unit so they stopped until it was sorted out.
