Feel sorry for tge fella with the problem...factory recall done and it fails...bugger that....be pushing VERY hard to have it redone at fca cost...not mine...and as a sideline...if I did have to pay, be fkt if I'd be paying $240/hr for a pimple faced phone attached and fixated apprentice to do the job...I'd pay to have it towed back to Jeeps'r 'Us in Coffs and pay him to fix it right !....geez...wot a cluster fk

ps: may have misread the OP.....has the W58 been performed already and then failed ???...or not been done and its caused the failure ????......either way....FCA PAYS !
My mate never had a W58 recall letter from FCA !So never done.A software update was done when he was towed to the dealer! It failed to fix the problem.
They have admitted its the sensor failure and the auto etc has to come out!Still must be foc in my book!

My biuld sheet has a rating of 177kw...biult Nov.12 plated MY13.
The HP increase was indeed computer generated and occurred with the MY14 and 8spd models
You just missed the upgrade as it happened a month or so later in Feb13 going by the compliance data, which would coincide with the 8 speed addition ...........................I also found by accident details of where the engine number on the diesel is located...
3.0L Diesel Engine -
LH side centre of engine block.. The first digit (@) of the engine number denotes the model year. "... I will take their word for it as Im not looking.

If this fella bought it new then has moved and not using a dealer for servicing then Jeep wouldn't have his address, same as if bought 2nd hand, not using a dealer and didn't send or fill in the online form for ownership change again won't be informed, when I booked mine in the dealer actually had my details as I had advised Jeep of my ownership and address, so it does work, even though I was on top of the recall well before the postie visited, well actually an email.... I imagine there would be quite a few people who have missed out on many recalls, some important some not so..........

99.99% sure the recalls (safety recalls anyway) are mailed out according to the vehicle's registered address, as recorded by the various departments of transport.

I've received recall notices across 3 different addresses over the years since purchase which Jeep/FCA would have no way of having.

Unsure how the recalls are mailed out...I sent fca my details...from the back of the owners manual transfer of ownership slips....I got confirmation and a welcome to 'the fold'....few months later I got the V62 (2nd FP Relay) recall letter....it was 2021 when I received the letter...few months after purchase...but...like many...I had punched my VIN into the MOPAR Site when looking to buy to find out what was done or not done and basically get a better overall picture of its prior ownership....havnt received the Z46 (?) HPFP Recall letter as yet, but, as stated, it is on the MOPAR Site.

Not sure they'll start mailing Z46 notices until there's parts or a resolution. Can only imagine the number of calls dealers will get from people wanting to get the job done, only to be told 'can't be done, unsure on time frame', etc. etc.

I had another look and the 2011-12's were 177kw (237.3) and those that came in after Feb 2013 rated at 184kw (246.7HP), no other HP upgrade after that coming into the country as far as the RVD1 register shows.... I think more like software than nuts and bolts...... Mor elikely when they upped production for the yank vehicles they contracted a number of places to make the reluctor and they don't know who or where the suss bits went.... Can come from any european country.
Interesting side note from troubles I have had with my 2012. The PCM original has a part number that ends in AH and I replaced it trying to fix issues with another from a wreckers which ends in AI, the next version. I swear it goes faster than the older PCM unless it has had an aftermarket adjustment.

I reckon your on the money there adrian2012....the later modules definitely give a slightly noticeable boost in performance....when I replaced the TCCM it was a later version with a few small changes to the evic display at start up AND I 'felt' the car ''went better' overall....TCCM that was replaced was the factory fitted module....fairly sure the replacement modules are 'remanufactured' modules from whatever the refurbisher gets them out of...not 'new' modules.....Im sure I read one forum member stating when he got his TCCM replaced the evic read 'side door open' indicating it had come out of, or been refurbished from, a US Durango people mover....they too noted a 'slight performance' enhancement....we're not talking 30+HP but it is noticeable if you have had much time behind a wheel...could be a placebo...could be true....who knows
